Online Music Lessons
I currently teach a full roster of in-person lessons but have ongoing availability for online guitar and piano lessons. This option provides flexible scheduling and the ability to record each session, helping you progress confidently at your own pace. A free first lesson lets prospective students experience the format firsthand and see if it works for them before committing.
Lessons include supplemental materials and short video tutorials on chord shapes, transitions, fingerpicking patterns, and other key topics—so you’ll always know what and how to practice.

Testimonials

Kalle LeMone
Business Owner
My 9 year old son has been taking guitar lessons with Daniel for several months and he loves it. Daniel is patient and makes it exciting to play and develop new skills. We are really grateful for Daniel and his teaching!

Adam Cade
Surgical Technologist
Daniel is a great teacher and goes the extra mile for his students. I wanted to learn a new style of banjo that he didn’t know and took on the challenge of learning it so he could show it to me. It has been a great experience and I am looking forward to my next lesson.

Cheryl Birkey
Personal Trainer
Daniel has always made me feel comfortable during our sessions and has created a judgement free environment for me to make mistakes and learn. His approach is relaxed, patient and encouraging. I would recommend him to beginners and more experienced players alike.

Leah Gastonguay
College Student
[Daniel] has a deep understanding of music and is great at communicating this knowledge to his students . . . Daniel’s teaching style makes learning to play fun, interesting, and not scary at all. I highly recommend taking lessons with Daniel, I’ve had such a good experience learning from him.
Q&A
What is your teaching style?
I shape each lesson to the student’s learning style and goals, creating an environment where learning feels both approachable and meaningful. My goal is to build confidence and encourage the patience and persistence that lead to lasting progress.
What will I learn as your student?
At your free first lesson, we’ll discuss your goals and how I can help you achieve them. If you’re not sure where to begin, I’ll outline a few possible learning paths and recommend the approach that best fits your needs.
Are we a good fit?
The first lesson is free, giving us both a chance to see if it feels like a good match. For younger students, we’ll make sure they’re ready to follow direction and stay engaged. Every student is expected to practice between lessons—but our goal is to make that practice feel natural and rewarding.
What is the right age to learn an instrument?
I’ve worked with students as young as five years old. If you’re not sure your child is ready, I’d be happy to chat and help you decide.
How do online lessons compare?
Online lessons offer flexible scheduling and the option to review recorded sessions. For many students and families, this approach fits naturally into their routines—whether they travel often, want to save time, or simply prefer my teaching style. My studio setup includes multiple camera angles to clearly demonstrate every technique.
Where are you located?
Based in the greater St. Louis area, I teach a full roster of local students and also work with learners nationwide through live online guitar and piano lessons. New online students are welcome.
What do I need to get started?
Getting started is simple—all you need is an instrument. I can provide guidance on affordable options and help you choose what will work best for your needs.
